I’m late, I’m late
For a very import date!! (I bet you all thought I was going to say I’m pregnant, no sir-ee! - sorry to disappoint).
Anyway, the kiddos and I trooped into Milton yesterday for lunch with Mr Couch Potato. But what the heck is that up ahead causing a traffic jam?
Why, of course. Lets just transport houses down state highway one in the middle of the day.
We finally made it. A little late for our rendezvous nevertheless, and settled down into the one and only cafe in town (ok, there’s two if you count the pub). But what to my wandering eye should appear?
That blimmen house driving past causing even more chaos, while trying to squeeze itself under the overhead power lines.

Got something to say?

LOL… it’s very common to find houses being shifted in the middle of the day.
That particular one is from mosgiel (actually next store to ma & pa’s place) and was heading down to invervegas.
Bwahahahaha. How dare you be driving on the highway in the middle of the day, when they move houses, dontcha know? Glad you had lunch eventually.
Yup, thought ya had a bun in de oven, you read my mind! lol xxxx
Isn’t it hot down there, well everywhere, but I just saw the news and Dunedin had its sunniest period every over January - and thats funny because our winter there was the coldest for a very long period. January in general has been just beautiful and hot and dry everywhere.
Your dad, being the sweetheart he is, triple shocked the pool on Friday (with chlorine) and we havent been able to swim in it since. Which is a shame as last weekend was a long, weekend and hot. Two nights now I have got home wanting to swim and couldnt. I think the chlroride would take off several layers of skin. Nevermiind, maybe tomorrow.
Glad you guys got to your lunch, but a traffice jam down there must be extremely unusual, you must have felt like you were back in Auckland.
Have a lovely evening and please don’t forget to give me the measurements for the kids, love mum
I like the house that moving down the road, what a cute place.
Mum are you still online …. I will measure the kids first thing in the morning - they’re in bed now. Hope that’s ok.
Hi Kelvin. Hope the concert sucked on the weekend. Nah, just kidding, lol. Did you manage to get to sleep on Friday night after consuming two of Aaron’s coffees? fro some reason I thought your name started with a “c” . By the way, your wife is very cool.
Sorry to give you the hebejebes Hay. We actually want more kids. We always said we’d have four. Oh well, who knows what the future holds - hopefully not more houses trooping down the highway when I’m driving on it.
Hey! Ho! New place!!
Lookin’ good. I’ll change my link over when I get a chance… remind me if I take too long.
Love the jewellery. The sister one is super cool. My sis was a 1986er too! She must be a whole bunch younger than you…? (Or am I just making you feel old here?)
Anyway, must be off to pay attention to my lovely boy.
xox
thanks love, will watch out for them tomrrow.
Your baby sister is busy making me some work clothes. Isnt that great. I had the fabric before christmas, and didn’t do anything with it. Three tops in satiin back crepe with the shiny side as accent on collar and shift cuffs - sleeve in georgette, really pretty and like wearing nothing when its hot.
Off to watch watch Mat Edens Eco garden show on living channel.
Lots of love.
Mum
Four kids. Mmmm. Well. Yes. ;o) xxxx
Here i am as usual lagging behind, Teresa, Id still love to see those photos of that dress.
Off to meet the fancy man on Saturday, (pounawea camping ground spunk), let you know how that goes, giggles and tosses hair. Is that done right? Or do i batter my eye lashes?
Been totally hot here, you guys are lucky having the breeze off the sea, my fat hobbit feet are swollen, Yes Aaron, it IS possible.
Kids are great, Heidi now actually tells everyone that shes the boss and I swear as soon as her birthday was over, she thinks everythings hers and everything has to be her way or the highway.
I pull her up over it saying that I dont like her behaviour, Miss smarty pants 3 walks away saying that its not her problem. grrrrrrr
Not much else to report I think Mum keeps yas up to date with it all.
Oh and Aaron, Im doing what Leeannes doing at the moment, rack your brains but dont expect a super model just yet. lol
Love to all.
xxxxxxx
Hi Nikki and Yvette, nice to see you both again. Hope work is going well Nikki. Yeah, I think I was 9ish when my little sister was born, and I have a brother too whose 22. So there’s like two generations of kids. Me and my big sis were born when mum and dad where teens, and then had the younger “kids” when they were in their 20’s. Mum and dad always referred to me and my sister as “the girls” and my younger sister and brother as “the kids” when we were growing up.
Mum, Xanthe measures 48cm from bum to base of neck. And Xavier measures 31cm fom bum to underarm, and 30cm from shoulder to wrist/hand. Yeah, I th
Hay, don’t know how you do it - we keep thinking, maybe when the kids are older, we’ll have another two - lol. I’m 31 now though, so time is a ticking.
Yes, “the girls” (because thats what Nana and Grandad Stanaway used to call you as most of the other grandkids were boys when the first of you was born) were born 1974 and 1976 - two years and two weeks apart - and “the kids” - (once again blame Nana Stanaway as she always called them the babies which became “the kids”) were born 1984 (November) and 1986 (January, so dam only 13 months apart). Four kids is such a great number for a family, and I can tell you from experience, thats it very different to having two - which we did for 8 years. How exciting.
Thanks for the measurements, I really want to get that done. Have a lovely day and give the kids a hug for me. Do you know that I will be 49 this year - I can’t believe it and Dad will be 52. Hell, I still think of him as a teenager. I am starting to catch myself saying ” oh you’re too old to… ” I hate that because I dont feel any different at all.
lots of love mum
