Another fun weekend, yep yep yep

I’ve already mentioned that we had a long weekend …. well no long weekend is complete without a bit of DIY. So apart from installing the new window pelmets he’d made, hubby also decided to insulate the roof.

DIY Roof Insulation

While he was up there, he opted for a new air-vent in Xavier’s bedroom ceiling. Gawd bless his little cotton socks.

We finished off the day with a “poker night”. Being the absolutely brilliant house-wife I am, there were no clean glasses. I’d forgotten to turn the dishwasher on. So two of the blokes drank their ginger beer out of these…

The two Marks were there. Mark aka Mark Sparky, and Mark aka Michael Angelo Stuntman. But where oh where was Kelvin?

    Hi Guys,

what great pictures of Aaron, absolutely classic and aren’t the cups blokey. I hope they were secure in their masculinity.

Well, I got a visitor (Carol) not long after I spoke with you and she has jut left.
So I will call you tomorrow night.

She turned up badly sunburned so I used Malt vinegar on her - as I used to do to you. She was amazed at how it took the sting away. Did it twice while she was here, and it looked so much better afterward as well. That was on badly sunburned Maori I can tell you. Joseph just came out and asked why it smelt like vinegar. OH memories.

Have a great day and I will call you in the evening.

Hope the doggie training went well.

Lots of love to you all.

Hi Sweetie, how did back to school go today?

Hope the kids are well and happy and Aaron isnt suffering too much other than wounded pride for his leg through the roof trick.

    Have a lovely day.

…. to answer your question: “where was kelvin”. kelvin had forgotten his nephews 8th birthday and had to make a mercy dash to the warehouse and then out to moshole.

Hi guys, well, talk about busy.

I spent the evening with my friend Carol and her real estate agent - dad mainly escaped to the study, and its 10.30 and she just left.

Tomorrow night several family members are coming for dinner (takeaways-original) and we are going up to nanas grave as its one year ago tomorrow (friday) that she was buried and of course we are so close to the cemetery it made sense to meet here. Can’t believe that year has gone so fast.

I will give you a call on the weekend, since it won’t happen to morrow night.

I hope you are enjoying having Xanthe back and school and Xavier in Kindy, give you a bit of time to yourself. The kids will be pleased as well I am sure. Saturday week uncle Des and aunty Robin are coming round for a meal and a swim for the kids so that will be nice - its funny how in the end it always comes down to family, we havent seen much of them for years, but that will be lovely.

I don’t know if yo know actually but Renee has a little boy, about 5 months old, so thats two children.

Chantelle called in last night, she and Noel are quite happy in their little flat so thats great and she is back at work as well. Joseph and Rachel are rocking on. Rachel has been doing a lot of work at the hospital and shifts, so that has been interesting for her, but I think its next week she is back at tech so then its back to one day a week at the hospital. Both she and Chantelle are now in the 2nd year and thats going quickly. Joseph is in his 2nd year as well of his apprenticship but he has to do 4 years, gosh seems like yesterday they were in nappies.

Well love to you all guys, i better get to bed for work tomorrow, I start at 7.30 and Dad drops me off so its an early start.
    lots of love.

See, I didn’t fall off the face of the earth.

*waves hi* to Yvette and Kelvin.

Mum the parcel from Aunty Donna arrived Thursday or Friday last week I think, and your recorders and stuff arrived on Wednesday. The kids waited to open the parcels till Xanthe got home from school … which ended up being an extremely long day because they’ve just started swimming lessons on a Wednesday afternoon.

Got something to say?
