Happy Belated Valentines
Xanthe made these cards for Aaron and I nearly two weeks ago …. I don’t think she realised that yesterday was valentines day though.
I was rather domesticated the other morning. While up at the crack of dawn drinking coffee and waiting for my troop to arise, I ironed the hankies (o.m.g). My MIL would be proud.
I am also working on a mouse applique pillow case for a blogger friend. The infamous Hippy Happy Hay. Xanthe and Aaron helped draft some mouse designs for me on the weekend.
The fabric for the applique just needs ironing, cutting, and fusing. Oh yeah, thats right, and being sewn on …. but all that aside it’s nearly done (lol).
Also, thanks to my awesome whanau in the urban tropics, we’ve received a couple of parcels in the last week. Thanks guys!!! Kids love the clothes too by the way….little Miss has already worn the new leotard to ballet.
And cheers, mum. Although those birds are freaky life-like, they will look great on the christmas tree. I missing one of my old ones thanks to the dog. And the kids think the recorders are great. Very headache inducing for moi though. Xavier likes to get his boogie on, and bops away with the recorder held in one hand, while simultaneously whacking the crap out anything else that doubles as a drum, with his spare hand. I don’t think he appreciated my rendition of “three blind mouse” though …. I’m not allowed to play his recorder anymore.

Got something to say?

Jacinta, you are getting more like me, look like butter wouldn’t melt in your mouth and then you come out with language like that the most unexpected times.
glad you liked the birds and the kids like their recorders, I know you enjoyed yours when you were young.
I hope your craft work is going well, isn’t it time consuming. Did you check out the blanket I have partially made for Xavier on my blog?
Aunty Donna will be please to hear the xmas presents went down well, now that she has finally sent them, isn’t she a funny love.

Hi mum, Hay and Kaylee.
Hay and Kaylee you both gave me tears today … I’m thinking of you both. Thanks for visiting too Kaylee, that little chat thingee on your blog is super cool. I most go back and actually leave a comment though my new years resolution is to leave comments when I blog instead of just lurking.
Hay, you’re parcel’s arrived today too. Fanks so much …. I’m not opening it till that jumble of fabric is fused to the pillow case. And I’m working on it.
Hey mum, crafting is coming along fine. Aaron I were talking about my jewellery last night and he even called me a crafter which was super sweet. Also, I am hoping this year is the year me and my $200 sewing machine become great buddies (I live in hope)….I’d like to be able to make more clothes for my kids like you used to do for us. Xavier’s blanket looks awesome too by the way!!!

Hey Kaylee, I’ve popped back a couple of time to see how you’re doing. Hope everything’s ok!!!
Hi Sweetie,
Just to let you know that we couriered (gosh that doesnt look right) off Xaviers birthday present - which I warn you, will have to be put together after the box is opened, and also a wee gift for Xanthe, so she doesnt feel left out as well.
Just thought I would let you know, in case you want to put it away when it arrives.
Actually there is three, the one from us for Xavier and the extra for Xanthe, plus one from Chantelle, Joseph and Rachel hadnt completed there shopping yet but I wasnt going to wait, just in case. Rachel has worked two weeks now without a day off so shopping has been a bit behind.
Have a lovely day and love and hugs to the kids AND the adults.
mum p.s its 31 days to go before we fly - except I have just realised that when we get there the kids will be in bed so its 32 days.
Actually that was last night when I checked the counter on my computer - so its really only 31 days. yahoo.
Ah, I love little kids’ drawings. They are so awesome.
hello there folks
This is ET calling home!
hope all is going well for you all? Those littles are’nt looking so little anymore!
Sounds like your keeping yourself busy Jacinta, very clever young thing you are!!!
Sorry about the length of time to get the pressys down to you all, its in the genes you know! but i hope they all fit and that the kids liked what they got?
Did yours arrive unbroken Jacinta and did Aaron fit his.
Your mum and i started our pattern making course last nite and we’re both really excited about it! The lady who takes the class is lovely and is quite humerous so it makes it even more enjoyable.
Its pretty intensive, but that makes it more of a challange i guess.
Jacinta, would it be possiable to see a photo or two of the kids in thier pressys?
take care and thinking of you all.
love

Hi Marie - thanks for dropping by!!
Hey Aunty Donna! Yes THANK YOU. It’s so nice to have a bone china teacup - yummo. Now my cuppas will taste like the ones mum makes. Kids loved the clothes … Xavier has worn his heaps, and Xanthe has worn her’s to ballet too. Xavier was wearing the shirt again today too, but my camera was flat. But will definately take some shots and upload them for you. No worries!!!
