Easter Friday

Xanthe's 1st Easter Liturgy

Gotta love those tea-towels masking taped onto the kids heads for their school Easter Liturgy yesterday - lol. I know it’s not every-one’s cuppa tea sending their kiddies off to a Catholic school, but Xanthe has been totally enthralled with the Easter celebrations this week, coming home with lots of interesting questions and comments.

I have to admit, I still struggle with the idea of school myself. You know, the whole sending my child off to an institution everyday, to hang out with kids who’ve spent the last five years in daycare, who now spend their afternoon’s in an after school care programme. But that aside, Xanthe’s is very settled and enjoying school. As a mum, it’s hard to let go. I’ve largely spent the last five years as a stay at home mum, never realising it had a use by date that expired within five years.

Happy Easter everyone.
Hope you are enjoying time off with family and friends.

Aww , that brings back memories of Kyla when she was going to a *ahem* Christian preschool (small town, it was all they had), she had a nappy on her head, LOL.
Happy kids, happy parents, don’t worry okay?

Thanks Hay!!! Hope all is well with you guys.

mothers never have a use by date Jacinta, its just we have to learn to let go, ajust to the fact that we have them when they require us (proberly when they are older) , and watch as our children start to find thier wings.

So you see darling, in my opinon, you have not lost any value, but gained a great deal more.
thinking of you and hope your weekend with my and dad is enjoyable.

what a gorgy grin your xanthe has, she’s obviously in the right place at this time.
i hear you on the “institution” level, you’re preaching to the choir lol
    much love X

Hi Katie. I so knew you and Hay would get where I was coming from, lol. I still struggle with it all, hence Xanthe’s home today from school. She’s “really” sick with the killer flu - lol. It’s actually just a touch of hayfever, but I don’t see why she should have to sit in a classroom all day if she’s not feeling 100% - it’s not like I’ve got to rush off to work and try an find a babysitter - lol. I so lurve being a stay at home mum!!!! (and I appreicate that I am fortunate to be at home, others arn’t as lucky I guess).

LOL… is that AB’s dressing gown?

Nothing wrong with Catholic schooling (says he who avoided that bullet), just have to watch out for penguins.

    The grin says it all…

Hey ME. How the hell r ya!!!! Aaron just looks so darling when he gets to wear his pink dressing gown. The multicoloured spots really match his complexion. It sure was a struggle to convince him that Xanthe needed to borrow it for school - roflmao.

Thank you all for a lovely Easter visit.

    Hated leaving you all again.

Lots of love and thanks to you Aaron and Jacinta, and Desarei and to the munchkins who don’t understand how much we have to be thankfull for them.

Go Xanthe, Go Xavier, see you all again soon we hope.

    love Nana and Popsey\Poppie.

It was a great weekend. The kids loved seeing you, and apparently Popsey was blessed by Xanthe at prayers one morning this week - lol. Go Popsey!
