Autumn is such a colourful time of year, but living here in Dunedin I really notice it so much more. I guess because Dunedin is so old. Old homes, old establish trees and gardens. There’s not so much ‘new’ round here, as seen in the big smoke where population is fast outgrowing resources.The day started cold, although we were snug inside with our fireplace, two heatpumps, moisture master, underfloor insulation, and ceiling insulation, but felt the chill in the air as we headed on down to the Farmer’s Markets for our weekly fruit and vege. They day turned out brilliant and we spent a fair few hours strolling around The Gardens. Feeding the ducks, playing in the park, drinking lattes and fluffies, walking up the ‘mountain’ to the bird aviaries, and strolling back down again, while Aaron snapped a gazillion photos on his newly beloved [preloved] camera. Here’s a wee sampling ….
Hope everyone’s having a great weekend. I’m off to make cheese rolls for our kindy fundraiser tomorrow.
PS: Ohh yes, I can hear again. I developed “swimmer ears” last weekend and was having trouble hearing till I had my ears suctioned on Wednesday, coupled with pretty bad earaches (thank gawdness I had a large stash of panadol on hand at the time). Turn’s out Xavier needed his ear’s suctioned too and wow, what a difference! He’s talking so much better, it’s fantastic.
Hey cinty, glad you can hear again! and Xavier! mum said you guys have your web cam working again so i’ll have to say hello to xanthe and xavier and you guys on that soon. tell aaron those photos he took are mean! take care, pass on our hellos, lots of love, chantelle xx

Glad you had a lovely weekend and particularly that Xavier’s hearing is so much better. His speech will just take off now. Funny, last time i spoke to him his speech seemed worse but i didn’t link it with swimming and ears blocking. Nevermind now it will be so much better.

These are great photos folks! Well done Aaron! Hope you guys are all well? Uncle Paul and i are well, although i don’t have a job right now. Vincent is well also, i saw him yesterday. the band a planning to head to Australia at the begining of June to do a weeks tour so he is looking forward to that.

It was marvelous to see and talk to you all last night, I heard Aaron in the background.
The sound isnt so great with Skype I keep missing things and the picutres fragmented too, funny it was clearer with msn, never mind.
It was stil fabulous and I must get a collection of things to show the kids next time, they were so sweet showing us all that stuff.

Such a joy to see, really gladens my heart, they are sooo real, Aaron you did a great job. It feels like I can reach out and touch them. Its really, really lovely.

IT was really cold here this morning, winter is finally here.

I was talking to Chantelle last night and she again said how much she missed you all, but I told her she has to tell you not me or you wouldnt know that and its always nice to know someone loves you. We will have to get her at home and connected by video to see you all. Last weekend she literally spent all weekend doing one big assignment, but shes getting good marks and shes halfway through.
Its my birthday on next Friday (not tomorrow) and we are all having dinner at home, so perhpaps we can connect then and say hello. I know that the guys would love to see you. I may have to move the camera because where it is, its a bit squashed and I can’t see all of us fitting in there at the same time.

Nanas is stage 2 and she will have mastectomy. Hopefully that will get it all.

Just a quick comment to say I’ve removed two of the large photos as they had closeups of my kids faces, and one of them in particular keeps showing up in google image searches. I know the photo source is marked as private in Flickr, but I’m still a paranoid mama.
