Happy Valentines

We spent the morning at the yearly Thieves Market in the Octagon, and had a hangi for lunch. It was freezing this morning, so we headed off wearing six layers of clothing, peeling it off as the day warmed up.

This was followed by an afternoon at Aramoana Beach, playing with the dog, digging in the sand, swimming in the ocean, and creating beach art. Xanthe and I sculpted a mermaid from seaweed and shells, Aaron sketched a Taniwha in the sand, and Xavier and the dog dug holes while running around in circles.

Then we finished up our day with home made pizza’s by Aaron. We’ve been largely dairy free for yonks now, so it was nice to have a little cheese again.

Home made pizza, yum

Valentines day was not even a remote thought for us today … just lots of fun family time. Although, yesterday myself and my darling husband went back under the gun and got tats for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend. Our kids are tucked up into bed and we’re going to watch a movie.

What a fun day! I haven’t heard of those markets before, i’ll have to check out the link. We did a bit of shopping in town yesterday, was fun! It was busy though, and we think it’s ’cause practically nothing is open on Sundays in Whangas (which we found out last weekend). I’m sending Xavier’s bday present down tomorrow with a letter for Xanthe so keep an eye out for it. Hello and loves to all xx

    hi there Jacinta and family!!

Sounds like you had a lovely day with the whanu!!
Are we allowed to ask what the tats were of and do we get to see photos?
Or is it a “for your eyes only” thing??
Its was cool up here for a day or 2…a shock to the sytem i tell you. Hope we have not had the best of the weather as we are off up north for two weeks camping with the Hubbards. Not far from where unlce paul and sue got married.
We are both fine here at the moment. Uncle paul is out side spraying the weeds and looking busy. Me…i am just stuffing around today and have not done a lot. We went food shopping and also brought new shoes and makeup for work, this morning and that was enough for me today.

Anyway, great to hear read your blog, so take care, love and hugs to all. How s Aaron getting on with being dairy free and has he lost anymore wieght?
    Lots of love

It is freezing again this morning … but the sun is out, and I have faith it will warm up. I’ll have to take photos of our backs. We both had an X done. Roman numeral for 10, and of course the kids initials. Aaron has uploaded some pxts from his iphone on Facebook, but I don’t know how to link to it. Mine is a purple cursive X, and Aaron’s is vin diesel style.
